About the Role
The Technician Service Specialist at Kia Germiston plays a critical role in delivering high-quality service and repairs to our customers’ vehicles. This hands-on position focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Kia vehicles, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
– Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on Kia vehicles to identify issues accurately.
– Perform scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
– Execute complex repairs, including engine, transmission, and electrical system work.
– Maintain records of services performed and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
– Collaborate with service advisors to provide clear communication about vehicle condition and necessary repairs.
– Stay updated on Kia’s latest service techniques and technological advances.
– Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices as required.
– Uphold Kia’s standards for quality and customer satisfaction in all service operations.

Requirements
– Relevant technical qualifications in automotive technology or a similar field.
– Demonstrable experience in automotive service and repair, preferably with Kia or similar brands.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
– Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
– Solid understanding of vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and computer-based components.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications
– Certification from a recognized automotive authority (e.g., AURA, or similar).
– Experience working with Kia diagnostic software and tools.
– Proven track record of achieving customer satisfaction in a service environment.
– Additional certifications in hybrid or electric vehicle technology will be an advantage.
